A letter to recruiters

I admit it, you astound me.

Your ability to spot talent, to see potential where others see portfolios is what keeps this industry alive.

You distinguish between what we claim we can do and what we quietly prove when it counts.

So if you'll humor me, let me share what I've learned to prove when it counts.

I get results that stick. I've pitched floop to investors and secured $2,250 funding.

I've changed how thousands of IU Southeast students access resources.

I've published research on cross-cultural UX competencies.

I've helped 2000+ customers lead a healthy lifestyle through Saladspace.

The thing is, aesthetics pleases my soul and function pleases my brain. I've learned the delicate dance of balance between those.

I've built things from scratch: Saladspace, floop and lego building.

I write copies that converts, conduct user interviews that reveal beyond surface level questions, design interactions that feel inevitable, I think in terms of business growth and design's intent.

Hunger to design better than my previous designs, hunger to please the soul through design is what I strive for.

If this is what your company strives for too, let's have a cuppa chai.

Yours truly,

Dharam Lokhandwala
